Ardeth Greene Kapp (born 19 March 1931) was the ninth general president of the Young Women Organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) between 1984 and 1992.

Biography

Kapp is a native of Glenwood, Alberta, Canada. In 1949 she graduated from Brigham Young High School in Provo, Utah. She received academic degrees from the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. Kapp is the author of 20 books and a series of television programs created by the Utah Education Network.

Between 1972 and 1978, Kapp was the second counselor to Ruth H. Funk in the presidency of the Young Women Organization. In April 1984, Kapp succeeded Elaine A. Cannon as president of the organization. During her tenure, Kapp had five different counselors: including Elaine L. Jack, and Janette C. Hales. In 1992, Kapp was succeeded by Hales.

In the early 2000s, Kapp's husband Heber B. Kapp was asked by the church to be the president of the Cardston Alberta Temple. Kapp accompanied her husband and served as temple matron.
